Contemplation
There is a great temptation in a busy, active summer month like August to rush about in many directions all day, only to drop into bed exhausted and hit the ground running the following morning.
Although that may get a lot accomplished, it gives us no time for the long view, only the to-do list. In order to manage your life in a healthy way, contemplation and meditation are also important.
You don't have to be a yoga master to dedicate a short time (even just 15 minutes or so daily) to reflect, journal, and simply integrate. This pulls you into a position of altitude and allows you to look at the landscape of your life and see who you are being and where you are going; a very useful exercise. The internal peace it provides is a wonderful side benefit.
