Opening Our Emotions
For the last few weeks we have been moving steadily into a more nurturing, accepting, and emotionally open space after ten long months of scholarly discrimination, skeptical criticism and intellectual evaluation.
As individuals and as a society, it was very useful to examine our lives, our politics, our beliefs, and our history and do some course correction. However, the softer, gentler ambiance of this fall is a welcome change that allows us to connect with those we like and love in a more intimate and satisfying way.
We can use this emotional opening to fret, stew, argue, and be generally self-centered if we want. Or we can be serving, generous, kind, and lend a helping hand to those who need one. We have free will. It's entirely up to us. Use some self awareness to see how you're walking through your day.
