Why Half the World is Fighting the Future
To understand why people are so absolutely passionate about resisting change, you've got to understand what Baby and Young Souls are experiencing right now. From their perspective, Mature and Old Souls are trying to destroy everything that's worked for thousands of years.
Baby Souls are in a particularly tough spot. They've been waiting their turn to experience this hierarchical system that's defined human civilization forever. Baby Souls naturally look to authority figures. They want someone rich and powerful to tell them how things work, because they figure these people know something they don't. "If I follow their example," they think, "maybe someday I can be successful like them too."
So when Baby Souls see wealthy, powerful leaders, they don't see corruption or abuse of power. They see successful people who've mastered the game, who can serve as templates for where they want to go. The leader's wealth and privilege become proof of their right to lead.
That's why you see such passionate support for autocratic leaders around the world. Putin hanging on in Russia, authoritarian systems in North Korea, Trump trying to create that here - these represent the old paradigm fighting to survive. When people ask, "Why would anyone want some big, loud, wealthy guy telling them what to do all the time?" - that's why. Because if you're a Baby Soul or early Young Soul, you want to grow up to be that guy someday.
The Pyramidal vs. Horizontal War
What we're really watching is a clash between two completely incompatible worldviews. I call it the pyramidal paradigm versus the horizontal paradigm.
The pyramidal paradigm has run human civilization for millennia. It assumes hierarchy, competition, and inequality are natural and necessary. Power flows from the top down. You get resources based on where you sit in the pyramid. Success means climbing as high as you can. This made sense when most souls needed the motivation of competition to learn their lessons about personal power and achievement.
The horizontal paradigm that Mature and Old Souls want operates totally differently. It assumes all beings have inherent worth and deserve equal consideration. Power should be shared, not concentrated. Resources should be distributed, not hoarded. Success gets measured by how well everyone's doing, not just how well you're doing.
These aren't just political differences - they're completely different understandings of what human life is for.
