Our Sentient Friends

Lately we have been putting nature videos on in the family room to entertain our African Gray parrot Joey.

Well aware that Michael has told us that parrots are now stepping in to 1st level Infant sentience.

The bird calls out and preens and at first Joey just watched, but now he has begun to call back. Yesterday, I turned on the TV and he said, “Hello. Do you want a treat?” followed by calls mimicking the TV star parrot.

I’m fascinated watching this evolve. And so is our kitty, Tikka
