Oshun

Oshun is the Yoruban Goddess of Spring, Renewal and Fresh Water. She cleanses us of toxicity.

She is also the original Goddess of Ingenuity, Creativity, and Strategy. Legend has it that she was the firstborn Goddess among a wide pantheon of 16 brother Gods who struggled to find ways to guide and support humanity. Oshun was the first female and the one who created fire for heat and cooking, agriculture and animal husbandry.

She was rewarded by a deep sisterhood with the next Goddess Yemaya and by having twin children, the Goddesses of Joy and Abundance.

Oshun represents Female Power, Love, Compassion, Ingenuity, Creativity, and Maternal Wisdom and Guidance.
