A Reminder

Everyone is in a period of adjustment after the recent election. Because people have been so polarized it was clear that whoever won, the half of the country that didn’t vote for that candidate would be in great distress because we have all been trained to believe that the opposition winning will mean Armeggedon.

It will not. Will there be policies put in place that you disagree with? Yes. Will some people suffer from what some see as open season on abusing women, minorities, and immigrants? Yes.

We have gotten used to a certain amount of civil rights, but those of you over 60 remember blatant racism and sexism and horrendous gay-bashing. We survived that and we will survive any attempts to revive it.

Societies will often swing far to the left or right as social experiments. Well, that’s where we are right now. We will see where it takes us.

Meanwhile, find your center. Meditate and balance yourself. Love and support family, friends, and neighbors. You are a tribe. Weave bonds of strength and resilience and make practical plans for the future.

One law of the physical plane is that : Every gift contains a challenge and every challenge brings a gift. Look for the gifts 🎁 and let go of your cynicism and idealism for now. Now is the time to embrace Practical reality and plan accordingly.
