Global Opportunity

Pulled the Butterfly card today and here’s my takeaway:

As the pandemic spreads and infection numbers spike I try to focus on the bigger picture. This crisis is going to change us in some ways as a sentient species.

We have the opportunity here to become more global and cohesive in our behaviors rather than isolated in the 195 boxes we call countries.

If nothing else the pandemic will focus our attention on global health concerns like homelessness, availability of clean water, poverty, shanty towns and refugee camps.

This is a horrible tragedy but also an opportunity to do what humans do best in a crisis: stop our petty bickering and band together to creatively solve our problems.
