All of us are a work in progress. If that weren't true, we wouldn't still be here clambering across the face of the earth experiencing lesson after lesson. We are mistake-making machines, driven to progress in life through trial and error, and every error leaves it's mark twisting us in a new direction.
Most of us moan and groan and gnash our teeth over these twists and turns, and yet, look at the tree in the picture below. That tree was photographed and its image captured for all time because of its beauty. We look at it and marvel at its stamina, yearn to examine its bark and branches to imagine exactly what it has weathered. If we can see the utter beauty in this tree, why can't we see the beauty in ourselves?
