At this time of year, as dreams of turkey, football, and pumpkin pie dance through our heads, our thoughts also turn to Gratitude What is the true meaning of Thanksgiving, after all, but to examine what we are thankful for, enjoy our families and friends and wish for peace between enemies and aid for the unfortunate?
Most spiritual seekers have already been posting lists of things they have to be grateful for during the last week or so. And that is a good practice. Such a good practice in fact, that Michael tells us to make a daily practice throughout the year of starting out the day listing to ourselves 3 things that we are grateful for. After a year of this practice, I can tell you that for myself (during a challenging year in which I lost my mother and my home) it created an ability to bounce back more readily from stress and difficulty. I recommend it.
