Do you ever get started on a project and then long after it stops being fun or rewarding, or even worth your time; you keep working away at it because you...just...can't...quit?
Have you found yourself picking up a hobby or starting a job and quitting almost immediately because you think "don't even get me Started" on this?
How about those times when you see someone training for an athletic event, and after a short time, they quit, throw in the towel and say they're just not feeling it today....and your mind snorts and says"Quitter!"
Do you have a bad habit, like biting your nails, or always getting into arguments with your brother, and no amount of promising, bribing or threatening yourself gets you to stop?
If this describes your habits, you may be in Perseverance Mode, a personality trait that you may have been born with that drives you to just keep going, no matter what; or to give it up quickly before persevering kicks in.
Our modes are hard-wired into us as a natural habit pattern, but that doesn't mean that you can't get seniority to them. All it takes is awareness, and a deliberate decision to step outside of your comfort zone and do things differently now and then.
That being said, most people in Perseverance usually like it just fine. They know they always have the wherewithal to Get It Done.
